What To See and Do In Boston?

If you are in Boston, you will surely have plenty of things to do and see to keep yourself busy and entertained. We have a few things lined up here, though this is not it. There are umpteen activities the city has in store for you.

Walking the Iconic Freedom Trail

Boston’s Freedom Trail has an immense historic and cultural significance. The trail comprises a red-lined route of 2.5 miles, taking the visitors past 16 sites of historical importance. While some choose to tread and cover the entire trail, others may decide upon visiting select sites and making their journey a short one. Some of the prominent places which are a part of this trail include the Massachusetts State House, Boston Common, Old Corner Bookstore, King’s Chapel. Granary Burying Ground, and more. Most guided walking tours span between 90 minutes and 2 hours, and all of it depends on how many sites you wish to cover in a day.

Visiting the Historic Boston Tea Party

Reading about this significant milestone event in books is one thing, and getting a chance to witness the entire site live is another. Head straight towards the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, and take pleasure in seeing this amazing spectacle. You will get to relive the events that happened way back in 1773 through the dramatic recreation of the entire spectacle. You will even get to board the replica ships and throw tea just like what happened on that eventful day. Tour the museum and know the historical facts in-depth.

Walking Past the Hiking Trails

If you are on an adventurous spree, then exploring the numerous hiking trails that Boston offers is a must. You may choose the Blue Hills Reservation in Greater Boston, or even select the five-mile-long Battle Road Trail. The Wachusett Mountain Loop and the World’s End Trail are the other significant spots that you may visit.

Riding Swan Boats

These pleasure boats are a joy to ride. You would have to go to the Public Garden to experience this fun-filled activity. The rides are short, spanning 10 to 15 minutes on average, and a minimum of 10-12 passengers is needed. These are in operation from April (second weekend) to September (Labor Day weekend).

This isn’t just it. The list of things to do and see in Boston is unending. The Fenway Park, The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the plenty of interesting museums in Boston, and so on, are some of the many things you ought not miss.
